Happy New Year!

We had a great 2015! We served 61 men and provided 2,243 over night stays at the Haven. 38 of the 61 men we served transitioned successfully from the Haven Program! I am happy to say that as of January 1, 2016, The Haven has expanded it's services opening four beds to serve 12 men. Now that we are able to serve more men, this means we need more volunteers. Jenine (our awesome volunteer coordinator) has done a great job scheduling volunteers to work in conjunction with shelter monitors. We are asking volunteers to cover 4pm-8pm shifts Monday-Friday along with some awake overnights. If you are interested in working along with our shelter monitors or being involved with other volunteer opportunities, please email Jenine at jsoucoup@thehavenofmanitowoc.org. Volunteer trainings will be scheduled once or twice a month.

The Haven's 2nd Annual Dinner is right around the corner! The dinner will be on Thursday February 18, 2016 at The Silver Lake College Atrium (2406 Alverno Rd.) Programming starts at 6pm. The tickets are $50.00 each, $400.00 for a table of 10, and $1500.00 for an event sponsor. Blaise Winter (former Green Bay Packer) will be our keynote speaker along with one of our guests. Blaise will be in Manitowoc during the week of our annual dinner speaking at various schools and businesses around the Manitowoc County area! There will be an opportunity to take pictures and participate in our silent auction raffle. Please save the date! You can stop by the Haven and purchase tickets. Get your tickets soon :) If you have any questions, please let me know.
